Multiple Classes |
In the first year, the class on differential and integral calculus
and linear algebra are divided into small classes in order to
teach the subject in a close guidance. For basic physics and
chemistry, two or three classes are open pararelly under the
same name of subjects, as a general course and an advanced course,
so that students can choose proper one depending on their knowledge
in high schools and thier future choice of their major. |
Professional Education by use of Computers
|
Recently the technique of information processing becomes more
and more important. A computer room is available in the colledge
of nacural sciences, and students can use this room any time.
Each student is given a card key of this room, and can use E-mail,
word processor and internet. Also professional cources by use
of computers are also opened in each major |
Examples of Graduation Research Thema,
Mathematics Major |
○Fractal dimension
○Generalized Schoenflies theorem
○Option price model in mathematical finance
○The classical solutions of the heat equation and the
wave equation
○Number theory : Fermat's dream
○Goedel's incompleteness theorem and related topics |
Examples of Graduation Research Thema,
Chemistry Major |
○Stereoselective Synthesis of Cyclic Ethers Using Platinum
Salts
○Synthesis and Characterization of Cyclotrisilenylium
Ion
○Self-assembly and photochemical properties of water-soluble

polynuclear complexes
○Elucidation of the structure-function relationship of
thermostable electron-transfer protein and design of novel bio-battery
systems
○Control of the number of atoms and photoluminescence
of metal clusters |

Technical English |
In each major, the reading couse in foreign language and English
seminar are openend in the second and third year. Students are
trained to have the ability to read professional books and papers
in English. There are also classes taught by foreign teachers. |
Graduation Research |
In the fourth year, a student is assigned to a reseach laboratories
of each major, and receives a man-to-man supervise from teachers.
Under high level of professional supervise, a student performs
graduation reaserch and begins the first step as a natural scientist. |
